Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) Extends Trading Hours by October 2011 & January 2012!

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) will extend trading hours in the stock market starting October 2011 from the usual 9:30AM – 12:10NN (2 hours and 40 minutes) it will then be from 9:00AM – 1:00PM (4 hours).

Then the trading hours by January 1, 2012, it will be from 9:30AM to 12:00NN then resume in the afternoon at 1:30PM – 3:30PM (total of 4 hours and 30 minutes).

This was announced by the PSE after the board has approved yesterday the extension of trading hours in the Philippine Stock Market. The new PSE board believes this policy to extend trading hours will help boost liquidity in the local market.

People particularly investors can trade for more hours in a day.
